Pauly, Pryor finish first in ‘Well and Aware’ 5K

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and the Health & Wellness Center teamed up this year to host the "Well and Aware" 5K-run and one-mile walk April 10 at the Fitness Center.

The HAWC and SARC office put on the event to raise awareness about sexual assault prevention and physical and mental health.

This year, 129 Team Vance members participated, almost double last year's 70 participants.
"It was a fantastic event and it was the perfect day for it," said Terri Presa, the SARC at Vance, and one of the coordinators for the run.

The top three finishers in the men's division were:

First place: Lt. Col. Thomas Pauly, director of operations for the 71st Operations Support Squadron, with a time of 20 minutes, 21seconds.

Second place: Lt. Col. Peter Stapleton, the director of operations for the 32nd Flying Training Squadron, with a time of 20:24.

Third place: Chaplain (Capt.) Jon Bravinder, 71st Flying Training Wing Chapel, with a time of 20:36.

The top three finishers for the women's division were:

First place: Lt. Col. Michelle Pryor, commander of the 32nd Flying Training Squadron, with a time of 22:34.

Second place: Airman 1st Class Asia Moore, a logistics planner with the 71st Logistics Readiness Squadron, with a time of 24:09.

Third place: Magda Caballero, wife of Maj. Gerardo Caballero, assistant operations officer with the 8th Flying Training Squadron, with a time of 24:29.
