Senior Airman Nina N. Gardner is an Air Traffic Controller with the 71st Operational Support Squadron RAPCON and is February’s Airman of the Month. Airman Gardner is an outstanding controller, having skillfully recovered 20 aircraft as fast approaching thunderstorms affected flight safety. She also garnered full Assist Controller ratings in Air Force's second-busiest radar facility and increased austere manning by 15 percent.

Airman Gardner is the Booster Club Treasurer, in charge of developing and executing fundraising initiatives. Airman Gardner is also dedicated to higher education; she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, and is enrolled in 2 courses with Embry-Riddle University.

Airman Gardner is originally from Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoys running long distances, and plans on running a half marathon.

Capt. Robert M. Burgon, the first Vance T-38 First Assignment Instructor Pilot to receive an F-22 assignment, and his girlfriend, XXXXXXXXXXXX, pose in front of the base operations marquee. Ms. XXXXXXXX was on hand to hose down Captain Burgon after his fini-flight March 3 in a 25th Flying Training Squadron T-38. He is heading for Tyndall AFB, Fla., for training to fly the F-22 Raptor.
