Chief Master Sergeant Jason E. Aucoin

Chief Master Sergeant Jason Aucoin is the 71st Operations Group Senior Enlisted Leader, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. In this role, he serves as the principle advisor to the commander on all matters of morale, welfare, readiness, professional development and effective utilization of the enlisted force. He provides mentorship and guidance for 140 enlisted, 800 officers and 125 civilians of Undergraduate Pilot Training. He brings operational leadership and perspective in the management of the second busiest airfield in the Air Force with 206 training aircraft. The group executes over 55,000 sorties and 80,000 flying hours annually, producing over 300 U.S. Air Force and Allied pilots each year.

Chief Aucoin hails from Hollywood, Florida and entered the Air Force in November 1996 as an F-16 Avionics member. In 2008, he entered into the Safety career field, where he has worked in various operational and staff positions, involving wing and major command levels. During his his career he has served as the Superintendents for the 492nd Fighter Squadron, Wing Inspector General, Wing Staff Agency, and Air Education Training Command Safety Directorate. Chief Aucoin has been stationed at locations in South Carolina, Arizona, United Arab Emirates, Maryland, Nevada, United Kingdom and Texas. He has served in multiple deployed locations, supporting Operation Northern Watch, Operation Allied Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, and Operation New Dawn. Before assuming his current position, Chief Aucoin served as Safety Chief Enlisted Manager, Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio, Randolph Texas.
