Vance aircraft accident - UPDATE

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – A T-38 Talon stationed at Vance Air Force Base crashed at approximately 1:48 p.m., 70 miles west of Enid, Oklahoma.

At the time of the accident, the aircraft was performing a training mission. One instructor pilot was on board, and safely ejected. The pilot is conscious, was not seriously injured and is being evaluated by Air Force medical personnel.
 
Vance AFB emergency response personnel are on site and have begun an accident investigation.

The aircraft is a total loss.

At the time of the accident, the aircraft was performing a training mission. One instructor pilot was on board.  The pilot is conscious and with local emergency response personnel.
At the time of release, Vance emergency response personnel were enroute to begin an aircraft mishap investigation.
