VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --
Campaign organizers are hosting a "Pie in the Eye" event to raise money for the Vance 2014 Air Force Assistance Fund.
Team Vance members can cast votes for people they want to get a pie in the face. Votes can be purchased for 25 cents each.
The top three vote getters will receive a pie in the face immediately following the monthly Wing Recognition Ceremony, March 26, at the Vance Collocated Club.
Proceeds from the voting will go towards the Air Force Aid Society, one of the four organizations that benefit from the AFAF campaign. The other three are the Air Force Villages, the Air Force Enlisted Village and the Gen. and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.
"This fundraiser helps out others while having fun at the same time," said 1st Lt. Jerrel Scriven, International Student Office Flight commander with the 71st Student Squadron.
According to Scriven, at this time, the top three vote getters are:
- Col. Christopher Daniels, 71st Mission Support Group commander
- Maj. John Klohr, 71st Logistics Readiness Squadron commander
- Chief Master Sgt. Mark Aman, 71st Flying Training Wing command chief
