Col John DaLomba is Commander and Military Treatment Facility director, 71st Medical Group, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Under his command, the medical group executes a $6.1M budget and provides health care and preventive health services for the 71st Flying Training Wing, the Undergraduate Pilot Training students and 3900 Vance AFB community beneficiaries. Additionally, the 71st Medical Group supports Air Education and Training Command’s readiness and mobility requirements for ready medics and medically ready forces and develops innovative Airmen for 21st century combat operations.
Colonel DaLomba received a direct commission and entered the United States Air Force in May 2002. He has 27 years of clinical experience and has deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Colonel DaLomba holds certifications from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the Hand Therapy Certification Commission and is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists.
Colonel DaLomba has commanded a medical support squadron, served as Director of Operations and Deputy Commander of a medical group, served as a Major Command BSC Executive, and has been assigned to a headquarters staff position. Prior to his current position, Colonel DaLomba was Deputy Commander of the 59th Medical Support Group at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Tex.
