Hometown: Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Organization: 71st Medical Operations Squadron

Duty title: NCOIC, Bioenvironmental Engineering

Time on Silver Talon Team: 15 months

What has been the best part of serving on the Silver Talon team?
"Seeing Oklahoma! You get a chance to travel all over and see some of the diamonds in the rough that you may not normally get to enjoy."

What do you enjoy about the Air Force?
"Well, I used to enjoy PCSing. But seriously, I find joy in interacting with the people. Not just the military but the civilians as well. It reaffirms my attitude that no matter what differences we may have, no matter the background or culture we came from, we are all people seeking to trust in others and build community."

Off-duty interests: "Reading, studying religions and philosophy, art and spending time with my family of five."

Do you have any words for those who would be interested in joining the Silver Talon Honor Guard Team?
"Please join. It is a great way to see and to feel the impact that military members have on the community at large and in the lives of the individual people. I too was hesitant to join, feeling my abilities would not do justice to this prestigious group, but I am glad I had the opportunity to serve and hold these times as some of the fondest I have had at Vance. Plus you get close parking at the Club, the BX and the Commissary."
