VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- More than 300 Team Vance members greeted Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hangar 170 on Vance Air Force Base Dec. 10.

Sponsored by the 71st Force Support Squadron, this year’s “Snapshots with Santa” treated base children and their parents to food, games, crafts and the chance to take pictures with Santa Claus.

Following welcoming remarks by Col. Dwayne LaHaye, the 71st Mission Support Group commander, a T-1A Jayhawk training jet taxied up to Hangar 170 to deliver Santa and Mrs. Claus and two of their elves.

Muffins and juice was provided to attendees by Tinker Federal Credit Union and Brush Pediatric and Family Dentistry in Enid, Oklahoma.

Sugar cookies, provided by Western Sizzlin Steak House in Enid, were decorated by children at the craft tables.

Volunteers from the 71st Medical Group and the Teen Center helped with setup and cleanup for the holiday event, and kept the games and craft tables and bouncy house operating.

Free sundaes were provided for the children by Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers in Enid.
