Osborne takes command of 71st SFS

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Maj. Christopher Osborne accepted command of the 71st Security Forces Squadron when he received the squadron’s guidon from Col. Dwayne LaHaye, 71st Mission Support Group commander, at a change-of-command ceremony May 30 in the Armed Forces Reserve Center.

Osborne replaced Maj. Christopher Jackson, who is taking a position at the Pentagon.

Prior to joining Team Vance, Osborne was stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo where he was the force protection officer for the Office of Military Cooperation from August 2015 to April 2017.

He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Wayland Baptist University, San Antonio, and a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Wayland Baptist University, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
