Ware takes command of 71st FSS

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Maj. Jason Ware accepted command of the 71st Force Support Squadron during a change of command ceremony officiated by Col. Dwayne LaHaye, commander of 71st Mission Support Group, June 23, at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Ware replaces Lt. Col. Erick Castro, who is taking an assignment to Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

As the new commander of the 71st FSS, Ware will be taking over the responsibilities of overseeing manpower, personnel, and services functions at Vance AFB.

Ware is joining team Vance from Headquarter, Air Force, where he was the chief, Assessment and Sustainment Division, Directorate of Diversity and Inclusion, Manpower, Personnel and Services.

In 2003, Ware received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas.
