Smalenberger takes command of Comptroller Squadron

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Maj. Trista Smalenberger became the new 71st Comptroller Squadron commander during a ceremony held June 28 in the 8th Flying Training Squadron auditorium.

The presiding official, Col. Darrell Judy, 71st Flying Training Wing commander, passed the unit guidon and command to Smalenberger before an audience that included her family, friends, senior base leadership and 71st CPTS members.

Maj. Steven Peterson relinquished command of the squadron and is scheduled to attend Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
