Kimmel takes top honor in ALS Class 12-F

Senior Airman Shelby Kimmel took the top honor in Class 12-F at the Airman Leadership School at Altus Air Force Base, Okla.

Kimmel, one of three Vance Airmen graduating July 20 with Class 12-F, earned the John L. Levitow Award, the top honor presented at all levels of professional military education.

Kimmel is a finance technician with the 71st Comptroller Squadron.

Senior Airman Brandon Gallemore, with the 71st Operations Support Squadron, earned the Academic Award.

Also among the graduates from Vance was Senior Airman David Maestas with the 71st Security Forces Squadron.

Others graduating with Class 12-F were Senior Airmen Corey Barr, Richard Gatlin, Patrick Gonzales, Robert Jackson, Raynard Manibusan, Christopher Ramos, Brandon Rimmer, Taream Roberson, Tierra Stokes and Staff Sgt. Bobby Jackson.

Airman Leadership School is the first level of professional military education and is a required course before senior airmen can advance to the NCO ranks.
