Brouillette, the knowledge operations manager for the 71st Communications Squadron here, parked his truck to block traffic and help keep the area clear. He climbed on top of the van to aid the driver, while directing someone nearby to call 911. "When I pulled the door open I the driver's neck was caught up in the seatbelt," said Brouillette. He came to Vance less than a year ago from Dover Air Force Base, Del. "I see myself retiring from the Air Force," said Brouillette. "I like the structure of the military. It's good for people like me." He found out the same day of the traffic accident that he was selected to attend the Airman Leadership School at Altus AFB, Okla.
