"She worked all three runways for the first part of the flying day," said Lt. Col. David Merritt, 71st OSS commander. "She did an outstanding job keeping traffic moving without delay," said Colonel Merritt. She impressed more than Colonel Merritt. "Three separate flying squadron commanders contacted us to ask who was working," he said. "The 32nd Flying Training Squadron commander remarked that it was the best piece of controlling he had seen on Vance," Colonel Merritt said. "The 25th FTS commander said, 'Whoever the female tower controller was mid-day -- nice job controlling three runways - man it was busy!' "The 5th FTS commander came to my office to tell me she (Airman Scott) had done a great job. Airman Scott is one of our hardest working Airmen," said Colonel Merritt.
