Eric Kut expertly recovered a T-6A Texan II aircraft after the student pilot in the front seat inadvertently activated the canopy fracturing system at about 200 feet above ground level following a touch-and-go landing at Kegelman Air Force Auxiliary Field, about 45 miles northwest of Vance AFB. His actions saved two lives and a $4.5 million aircraft.
