A pilot in an Air Force T-6A Texan II assigned to Vance AFB ejected from the aircraft at approximately 12:55 p.m. today at the south end of the base.

The pilot was transported by ambulance to the Integris Bass Baptist Hospital for examination and evaluation; the pilot has been treated and released. The aircraft is intact, sitting off of the end of the base's runway 17L, with gear extended in the mud.

At the time of the ejection, the pilot was performing a solo training mission, meaning that the one pilot was the only person on board at the time of ejection.

At the time of release, Vance emergency response personnel were on scene to assist in recovery efforts.

Additional details will be provided as information becomes available.
