Vance will host a Women's Wellness Fair at the fitness center gym Mar. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to pass along information to women of all walks of life, and it is being hailed as an occasion not to be missed.

This year's activities include booths, free food, door prizes, children's face painting, massages and women's health breakout sessions.

"Not only are we fortunate to have such a wide variety of break out sessions this year, but we are lucky to have such knowledgeable presenters. Our presenters include doctors from the 71st Medical Group and Enid community, as well as representatives from the Vance Officers Spouses' Club. There will truly be something for everyone," said Jennifer McMullen, Health Education program manager.

The breakout sessions will last 20 minutes, with 10 minute breaks in between each session to give everyone time to attend as many classes as possible. The sessions include: cooking demonstrations; Pilates; segments titled "Fatigue in Women," "How to Read Food Labels," "Pediatric Mythbusters: Could Grandma Really Be Right?" and "Proper Shoe Fitting;" HPV vaccines; women's health issues; meditation walk; and children's oral health.

Booth browsing will last the entire fair and will include informational displays from: Arbonne; CL Meyer; Creative Memories; Curves; Dr. Shields; Fertility Care Services; Finer Physiques; Gibbs and Sons Enterprises; Home Interiors; Integris Bass Hospital; Katie Barfield Massage Therapy; Lia Sophia Jewelry; Moto Photo; Pampered Chef; Premier Designs Jewelry; Serenity Springs; Solitudes Massage Therapy; StrollerFit; Super Suppers; Uptown Florist; and the YMCA. A variety of on-base agencies will also have information available.

Free coffee, children's face painting and fruit and veggie sampling will also be available to everyone.

Attendees could leave with one of 30 door prizes to be given away at the event. Also, one lady will leave with the grand prize that includes a weekend getaway package for two. Women need to sign-up for a door price at the registration tables at the entrance to the gym.
