Operation Cookie Cutter churns out 1,600 sweet treats Published Nov. 18, 2015 By Staff Sgt. Nancy Falcon 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Twenty-six volunteers from the Vance Spouses Group and other Team Vance organizations packaged freshly baked holiday cookies during Operation Cookie Cutter Nov. 17 at the Community Chapel Activities Center. Every year in November, volunteers gather at the CCAC to bake goods for Vance's deployed Airmen. "Operation Cookie Cutter is one of the ways that we can share our holiday spirit with those who are deployed," said Tech. Sgt. Amy Snyder, the Airman & Family Readiness Center readiness NCO. "They are missing out on stuff during the holiday season, and we want them to know that we are thinking about them and send our love their way. This year, 22 boxes were packed with sweets and mailed off. The boxes contained 72 assorted cookies and holiday greeting cards from Waukomis Middle School, Eisenhower Elementary School, wing leadership and the Airman & Family Readiness Center Airmen. "We also placed a recent copy of the Air Scoop in the boxes for them to see what's going on at Vance," said Snyder.
