Spouses' club delivers 72 boxes of cookies to Airmen in dorms Published Dec. 18, 2013 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Members of the Vance Officers' Spouses' Club boxed almost 2,000 donated cookies Dec. 18 and delivered them to junior enlisted Airmen living in the dormitories on base. "We do this every year to spread holiday cheer to the Airmen in the dorms because they don't always get the chance to see their families," said Ankie Richard, the OSC president. "It's also to show them thanks for what they do all year long." OSC volunteers set up camp in the Community Chapel Activity Center where they collected cookie donations from 9 a.m. until noon. By 2 p.m. Richard, with the help of first sergeants and another volunteer, delivered 72 boxes of cookies to Team Vance Airmen.
