Base cycling club rides in 2013 Tour de Trykes Published Aug. 28, 2013 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The 8th annual Tour de Trykes and Twilight Criterium bicycle events were held Aug. 17 in downtown Enid. Riders from Vance Air Force Base Cycling Club participated in the event. The Tour de Trykes part of the event included bicycle tours leaving from downtown Enid in the morning with routes of two miles, 14 miles, 26 miles, 42 miles and 100K. An estimated 300 riders attended. The criterium part of the event was a bicycle race on a closed course where United States Cycling Association licensed riders competed for prizes. The courses were about .08 miles long with riders reaching 30-35 miles per hour. The Tour de Trykes and Criterium raised money for local AMBUCS' projects which emphasize mobility for those people for whom mobility is difficult.
