Chris Nowland 71st Flying Training Wing commander VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Vance, Thank you for the months of hard work in preparation for our unit compliance inspection -- your enthusiasm and great attitude shine brightly every day, but have been particularly impressive these past few weeks. There is no doubt that all of you are helping accomplish our mission daily. Every inspector saw that. Beyond the mission, we are taking care of ourselves, our families and our friends. Those friends include the folks downtown -- some have even been praying for us! We've coordinated for representatives of each squadron to attend the IG out-brief at 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, in the base auditorium. The brief will not be broadcast on the commander's access channel, but your squadron representatives will share the information they learn. We need to move forward to implement the inputs we've had from this inspection to improve our compliance. We had over 100 inspectors spend more than a week looking for ways we can improve our processes and become even greater experts at what we do. Please join your commanders and me after a long week for food, music and fun from 3 to 6 p.m., March 2, in Hangar 170. The event is open to all of Team Vance including families, because this has truly been a team effort. Ultimately, Vance is a blessed base.
