Teamwork keeps students flying
An L-3 Communications plane marshal ushers a T-1A Jayhawk crew toward the runway at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The 3rd Flying Training Squadron T-1 instructor pilots prepare students for a future in flying a variety of heavy aircraft like the C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft and the KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueler. More than 300 student pilots earn silver wings annually at Vance AFB thanks to the dedication of active duty and Reserve instructors and civilian partners. (U.S. Air Force photo/ David Poe)
