CMSgt Adam S. Barraclough is the Senior Enlisted Leader, 71st Mission Support Group (MSG), Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He advises the commander on the mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare for over 588 total force personnel. The group is responsible for executing the $550M flying operations and base operations contracts and all support functions for the installation and community. Through his leadership and deliberate development, the MSG is a vital enabler for specialized undergraduate pilot training for more than 400 U.S. Air Force and Allied student pilots annually, maintaining a fleet of over 200 aircraft, producing more than 55,000 sorties and over 80,000 flying hours each year.
CMSgt Barraclough enlisted in the Air Force in September of 2001 as a Security Forces (SF) Apprentice graduating technical training in February of 2002. His background includes various duties in the SF career field and a special duty assignment as a Military Training Instructor at Air Force Basic Military Training. Chief Barraclough has also deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, INHERENT RESOLVE, and FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and has completed overseas assignments in the countries of Greenland, Belgium and Japan.
