    At approximately 3:45 p.m. today Vance Air Force Base suspended inbound traffic to the installation as the result of a bomb threat.

    First Accelerated Path to Wings class graduates at Vance

    Class 21-15 AM, the first Accelerated Path to Wings (XPW) class to graduate at Vance Air Force Base, received their wings during a ceremony held Sept. 23 in the Base Auditorium. They are the second XPW class to graduate in the Air Force.

    Nick Vance Matthews visited Vance AFB, Oklahoma, for the first time to attend the base’s 80th anniversary celebration Sept. 17.His visit was motivated by a desire to continue the “living heritage” his family has with Vance AFB. It was named after his great-grandfather, Lt. Col. Leon Robert Vance
