Carson takes charge of 71st ISS

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Maj. Keith Carson accepted command of the 71st Installation Support Squadron during a change-of-command ceremony held June 8 at the Vance Club.

Col. Dwayne LaHaye, 71st Mission Support Group commander, the ceremony official, passed Carson the unit guidon, marking the transfer of command.

Carson replaces Lt. Col. Shannon Caleb, who is taking an assignment to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.

Carson comes to Vance from Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, where he served as the 47th Logistics Readiness Flight commander.

He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in History. His master’s degree is in Operational Leadership and Management from the Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
