Team Vance runners join 25,000 to remember Murrah Building bombing Published June 19, 2013 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Team Vance members participated in the 13th annual Memorial Marathon held in Oklahoma City in late April. They joined more than 25,000 runners in remembering the 168 people killed in an attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995. The race's theme, "Run to Remember," took on added significance this year, with the traditional pre-race 168-second moment of silence extended by three seconds to honor the three people killed in the Boston Marathon April 15. Vance runners included: Relay Team 1 -- 3rd Flying Training Squadron "Lady Jayhawks" - Lt. Col. Michelle Pryor, Megan Martin, 1st Lt. Michelle Bosch, Danielle Smorol and Capt. Kristen Franke. Relay Team 2 -- "Mike Flight" - Capt. Justin Wetterhall, 1st Lt. Matt Luvera, Capt. Zach Thuli, 1st Lt. Adam Page and 1st Lt. Adam Smith. Relay Team 3 -- "Jayhawk 09" - 1st Lt. Casey Eickholt, Nick Hamann, 1st Lt. Jeff Lippert, Maj. Wes Olson and 1st Lt. Patrick Skaife. Relay Team 4 - 25th Flying Training Squadron "Flyers" - Maj. David Smith, Capt. Daniel Silk, Lt. Col. William Maher, Lt. Col. Dave Pryor and Capt. John Wicker. Half-marathon runners - Capt. Jill Adamek, Capt. Cindy Thuli, Lt. Col. Andrew Hamann and Capt. Brandon Gorab.
