Vance runners compete in 2013 ‘Run to Summer’ 5K

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  Forty-two runners participated in the 2013 "Run to Summer" 5K, held just before the Summer Block Party, May 23.

The fastest times in the Men's Open were:
  • 1st place -- Master Sgt. Mike Mattix, 20 minutes, 27seconds
  • 2nd Place -- Staff Sgt. Heath Conley, 20:58
  • 3rd Place -- Staff Sgt. Nick Gallo, 21:11
The top three finishers in the Women's Open were:
  • 1st Place -- Robyn Kramer, 21:45
  • 2nd Place -- Jennifer Jensen, 23:29
  • 3rd Place -- Rachel McVay, 25:43
The Vance Summer Block Party followed the 5K run with food booths, games and music.
