Vance pharmacy tech earns leadership school award Published May 16, 2013 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- A Vance Air Force Base pharmacy technician earned the Commandant Leadership Award while attending Airman Leadership School Class 13-D at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. Senior Airman Jeremiah Davis, with the 71st Medical Support Squadron, received the award during the Class 13-D graduation ceremony held May 9 at Altus AFB. The Commandant award is presented to the student displaying all the characteristics of an effective leader. Also graduating with Class 13-D from Vance AFB were Senior Airmen Jean Arroyomaclean and Scott Hunt with the 71st Security Forces Squadron. Senior Airman Gregory Mackel, with the 910th Communications Squadron, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, received the John Levitow Award, presented to the student demonstrating the most outstanding leadership and scholastic qualities. Senior Airman Marcus Pesavento, with the 97th Operations Support Squadron at Altus AFB, was presented the Academic Achievement Award, given to the student with the highest overall average on all academic evaluations. Also graduating in Class 13-D were Airmen assigned to units at Altus AFB. They were Senior Airmen Erik Gaunt, Sanjuanita Ortiz, James Kelleher, Casey Callen, Joseph Van Deusen, Isaac Navarro, Sean Obernier, Arthur Waldrop and Darcelle McGee.
