Marshall takes command of the 5th FTS at Vance

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Lt. Col. Phillip Marshall became the new commander of the 5th Flying Training Squadron during a ceremony held April 16 in the Vance Collocated Club.

Marshall, the former director of operations with the 5th FTS, assumed command when Col. Dwain Kuehl, a former commander of the 5th FTS, passed the unit guidon to him.

Kuehl is now the assistant director of operations with the 340th Flying Training Group, an Air Force Reserve Command unit at Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.

Marshall replaced Lt. Col. Kevin Bullard, who retired from active duty and will remain in the local area.
