Mission essential – Taylor Buchea, resource manager

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Senior Airman Taylor Buchea is a squadron resource manager for the 3rd Flying Training Squadron at Vance Air Force Base.

As aviation resource managers, Buchea, and three other Airmen, are responsible for ensuring approximately 90 instructor pilots and more than 100 student pilots are physically able to fly. They make sure training records are current and qualified.

Each training day resource managers like Buchea complete more than 35 pre-flight checks, giving clearance to pilots who are about to fly.

Buchea and her fellow resource managers ensure the 71st Flying Training Wing can accomplish its mission of delivering world-class pilots.
