Snow storm closes base Tuesday

Before the blizzard was over, members of the CSC Applied Technologies Pavement and Grounds began the task of removing the snow that fell on Vance Air Force Base Feb. 25-26.

By the time the snow storm was finished, more than 7 inches of the much needed moisture was covering sidewalks, roads, runways and everything else.

Personnel were released in the early afternoon Monday to get home before the local roads became too dangerous to travel.

Tuesday morning, Vance senior leaders determined it was not safe for Team Vance to risk traveling to work. Tuesday was declared a "snow day."
