Name: Kate Wetterhall

Base affiliation: My husband, Capt. Justin Wetterhall, is an instructor pilot in the 3rd Flying Training Squadron.

Do you have children? I have two, Owen and Claire.

What is your educational background? I went to Virginia Tech for my undergraduate and master's degrees. My undergraduate is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, which is the same program that Justin was in, and is how we met. My master's degree is in Secondary Math Education.

Where do you work? I work at Enid High School teaching math. This year I teach algebra, geometry and algebra II. I love it!

Do you have any hobbies? When I'm not taking care of my kids or cleaning the house I like to read. I'm in the beginning stages of forming a book club with our squadron.

Do you volunteer? I was the lead spouse for our squadron last year on the Angel Tree project, which was coordinated with Youth and Family Services in Enid. I worked with the YFS Director of Development to find kids in need within our school district. I'm proud to say that our squadron fulfilled every request that the kids made, and reached over 100 families in the community.

Favorite thing about Enid: I love that there are fun things to do for the family. There are often parades, races, fundraisers, etc., going on in town if you take the time to look.
