The 2012 CFC campaign kicks off Oct. 1 at Vance Published Sept. 26, 2012 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The Combined Federal Campaign at Vance AFB kicks off Oct. 1 and runs through Nov. 15. Unit representatives plan to contact all Team Vance members during the first three days of the drive. The base goal for the campaign is 100 percent contact of all eligible contributors. CFC organizers have chosen $95,000 as the target for the 2012 campaign. CFC is the world's largest and most successful workplace giving campaign. Last year federal employees gave more than $272 million to charities ranging from the American Red Cross to the Young Women's Christian Association. "The kick-off will be Monday, Oct. 1," said 1st Lt. Branden Gulick, the CFC representative for the 71st Operations Group. "We are targeting 100 percent contact within the first three days of the campaign." Gulick said campaign workers will followup with a second big push three weeks into the drive to contact those who expressed interest but haven't donated yet. Since 1961, federal civilian, postal and military donors have raised more than $7 billion for eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. During last year's campaign, a CFC softball tournament raised $470. This year's tournament is scheduled for Nov. 2. Deadline for registration is Oct. 26. Teams will need a minimum of 10 players. All Team Vance members are eligible to contribute to the campaign.
