Sgt. Linell McKissick, a client systems supervisor for the 71st Communications Squadron, was named the 71st Flying Training Wing Warrior of the Week. McKissick ensures the Emergency Operations Center, Crisis Action Team, the alternate EOC and alternate CAT communication devices are properly configured for both real-world and exercise operations. He received the Warrior of the Week recognition for his and his team's efforts. They completed operations checks on 74 computers and repaired 36 systems, identified and fixed numerous errors and installed security patches ensuring all systems pose no network threat. McKissick managed 57 work orders and resolved 51 computer issues base-wide. The junior NCO gives credit for his recognition to his co-workers, supervision and customers. "I believe in my co-workers and have supervisors who won't set me up to fail," said McKissick. "Truthfully, it's the nice customers we have here that remind you things aren't as bad as they sometimes seem," McKissick said. A Miami, Fla., native, McKissick has served in the Air Force for 12 years and Vance is his fifth duty station. He plans on making the Air Force a career.
