New name, new sign for an old friend

VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. --  Eric Bailey and Steve Smith with General Lighting and Sign Services in Oklahoma City, Okla., installed a new sign for the Exchange at Vance Air Force Base, Okla., Jan. 23.
 
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service, serving America's armed forces for more than 115 years, has traded in the old name, "base exchange," and is now simply, "Exchange."
 
The new sign is part of that image change, said Bill Fichtler, the Vance Air Force Base Exchange manager.
