Chapel hosts summer day-camp at CCAC Published June 1, 2011 By Jessica Gibson 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- This summer kids, ages 4 to 12, are invited to travel back in time and around the globe to "Hometown Nazareth," a day-long summer camp hosted by the Vance Chapel in the Community Chapel Activities Center, June 28. Hometown Nazareth will explore what life was like in Nazareth during Jesus Christ's ministry there. Through crafts, music, Bible lessons and even a little bowling, campers will have fun learning about serving others. The cost per child is one canned good or other non-perishable food item for the Horn of Plenty food drive. There will be a competition between the boys and the girls to see which group can bring the most food. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 28, and snacks and lunch will be provided. Permission slips from parents will be required to attend the camp. To sign up for the camp, contact Lori Forman at lori.forman@vance.af.mil, or 334-201-4706.
