Abdul named Airman of the Month for April

Airman 1st Class Laissha Abdul, a knowledge operations manager with the 71st Communications Squadron, is the Wing Airman of the Month for April.

From Detroit, Airman Abdul has been in the Air Force for 18 months and Vance is her first assignment.

To become Airman of the Month, Airman Abdul was first nominated by her squadron. She then met a board composed of one senior NCO, an NCO and the previous Airman of the Month.

The board asked her questions on specific military related areas and current events. Airman Abdul was scored on her responses, dress and appearance, communication skills and professionalism.

As the Wing Airman of the Month, Airman Abdul will receive a one-day pass, a certificate of recognition, AAFES and Services coupons and a one-night stay in a distinguished visitor suite at base lodging.
