"Congratulations Team Vance," said Bryce L. Tobyne, Environmental Branch manager with the 71st Logistics Readiness Squadron. The Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program inspection was a great success, he said.

An inspection team, from Headquarters, Air Education and Training Command, was at Vance March 28 through April 1.

"The team lead had very nice things to say about Vance AFB," said Mr. Tobyne. "There were no high-visibility or significant findings. The only findings were a few labeling errors, which are all administrative fixes."

"We did fantastic! The Environmental Management System we have in place worked great," said Robert Brinkley, the 71st LRS Environmental Coordinator.

Overall, both Mr. Tobyne and Mr. Brinkley said, the out brief went very well and the assessment was well facilitated.

In comparison to the 2008 ESOHCAMP inspection, the 2011 assessment point totals improved across the board. The inspection demonstrated that Vance is compliant with policies and regulations currently set.
