Vance’s best recognized at 2010 Annual Awards Published Jan. 12, 2011 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- More than 170 members of Team Vance attended the 71st Flying Training Wing 2010 Annual Awards ceremony held Jan. 6 at the Vance Collocated Club. A special guest at the ceremony was Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Roy. In additional to active duty Air Force and government civilian awards, this year CSC Applied Technologies award winners were recognized at the ceremony. Annual Awards winners were: Airman of the Year - Senior Airman Kanita Pruitt, 71st Force Support Squadron NCO of the Year - Tech. Sgt. David Hoy, 71st Security Forces Squadron Senior NCO of the Year - Master Sgt. Lori Shackleford, 71st Medical Operations Squadron Company Grade Officer of the Year - Capt. Bruce Osborn, 71st Logistics Readiness Squadron Category 1 Civilian of the Year - Eugene Kampe, 71st FSS Category 2 Civilian of the Year - Sharron Schaefer, 71st Medical Support Squadron Additional award winners were: Volunteer of the Year - 1st Lt. Martin Williams, 32nd Flying Training Squadron Honor Guard Member of the Year - Staff Sgt. Brandon Blunt, 71st Flying Training Wing Legal Office Quality Assurance Personnel of the Year - Master Sgt. Akiem Jenkins, 71st LRS Instructor Pilot of the Year - Capt. Jeremy Barnett, 25th Flying Training Squadron First Sergeant of the Year - Master Sgt.
