Bowling Center hosting Boo Bowling this weekend Published Oct. 27, 2010 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- The Falcon's Nest Bowling Center is hosting Boo Bowling Oct. 30 and 31. Scary music, Halloween decorations and goody bags are included Saturday night. On Saturday, when a ghost pin is in the head-pin position and a bowler knocks down eight or more pins, it counts as a strike. Kids can boo bowl from 4 to 6 p.m. Adults can bowl from 6 to 10:30 p.m. From 3 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, Boo Bowling will feature nine pins as a strike when a ghost is in the lead position. A costume contest for children begins at 5:30 p.m., Saturday. Costumes will be judged for most colorful, cutest and scariest. "We've been providing Boo Bowling for several years now in an eerie, glowing, bowling atmosphere," said Ken Broder, bowling center manager. "We have expanded our glow bowling and snack bar specials for kids of all ages to enjoy." According to Mr. Broder, more than 40 folks turned out last year for the costume contests. More are expected this year. For more information, call 213-7331.
