Vance team grabs first place at Randolph Rambler 120 Published Oct. 27, 2010 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- A seven-man team from Vance AFB took first place in the all-male relay division at the Randolph Rambler 120 triathlon Oct. 16 in Texas. This is the second year in a row Vance took the prize. Led by Capt. Jason Jones, the Vance team included Capt. Matt Gjertsen, 1st Lt. Chris Huckins, 1st Lt. Wade Brett, 2nd Lt. Andrew Morris, 1st Lt. Andrew Wetherbee and 2nd Lt. John Powers, all with the 32nd Flying Training Squadron. The Rambler 120, held at Randolph AFB, Texas, is a race consisting of a 22-mile bicycle ride, a 6-mile run and two miles of paddling a raft. The team finished the race in 2 hours, 14 minutes.
