Fall Fest will offer the base community an opportunity to relax and enjoy what the base has to offer. Fall Fest will feature free games, food and other activities for the whole family. Enid's Corvette Club is scheduled to display their specialty cars. There will be something for every member of the family. A pumpkin patch, for families to select pumpkins, will be guarded by scarecrows created by base organizations. Scarecrows will be judged for prizes. There will be a raffle for prizes from vendors and base organizations. "This is a great opportunity for all Vance active duty military, government civilians, contractors and families to get together for fun activities and free food," said Roger Miller, Fall Fest committee chair. Last year, Fall Fest was held in Hangar 170 due to inclement weather. This year the event will be held at the Youth Programs field and gym across from the Plains Pool. In case of inclement weather, Fall Fest will move into the Fitness Center gym, Bldg. 316. "There is something for everyone, from the single Airman to the youngest family members," Mr. Miller said. The Run to Fall: Commander's 5K will begin at 3 p.m. at the Fitness Center. The 5K is free for all Team Vance runners. Registration will take place before the race starts. For more information, contact Mr. Miller or Kate Holdeman at Youth Programs, 213-5025.
