A new online moving system named the Defense Personal Property System is revolutionizing the way Airmen move and shortening wait times at the Traffic Management Office.

The new system, which came into use earlier this month, allows Airmen and their families to enter all of their moving information online once an account is established.

The system, which records moving information such as locations, packing dates and can even file customer claims, allows Airmen to plan their move from the comfort of their homes.   The system even provides users with the relevant moving briefings.

Once the online paperwork is completed users only have to spend enough time in the TMO office to hand in orders and receive final paperwork.

"DPS decreases the workload on all parties and significantly decreases the time a user has to spend getting moving briefings and waiting for paperwork to be processed," said Christopher Fellows in the TMO office.

DPS can be accessed using www.move.mil. For further information, contact 448-7435.
