Deployment briefings for military members, spouses May 6, 7 Published April 29, 2010 By 71st Flying Training Wing Plans and Programming VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Air Education and Training Command's Deployment Management Branch is slated to give two interactive briefings to Team Vance members on the Air Expeditionary Force deployment process at the base auditorium May 6 and 7. The "AEF...Why Me?" interactive briefing is designed for permanent party military members to explain the United States Air Force's deployment selection process. The briefing is offered twice for maximum military participation, once at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 6, and again at 9 a.m. Friday, May 7. The "Military Spouse and AEF Deployment" briefing provides information specifically geared for military spouses and student pilots. That briefing is offered at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6. While the spouse's brief starts at 5:30 p.m., late arrivals are welcomed to accommodate maximum attendence. Each briefing runs from 60 to 90 minutes and each is scheduled for live broadcast on the Commander's Access Channel 43, available to base cable users.
