Ian Veatch Duty: 71st Operations Group Standardization and Evaluation Hometown: Seattle, Wash. Favorite PT regimen: Running Mission accomplishments: Captain Veatch assisted 19th Air Force with an Aircrew Standardization and Evaluation Visit at Laughlin AFB, Texas, by giving six instructor pilot checkrides in three days. He is the only T-6A Texan II flight examiner not from Randolph AFB, Texas, to assist the ASEV team during inspections. He also inspected seven flying programs at Laughlin AFB, helping them prepare for a Unit Compliance Inspection. Captain Veatch recently coordinated all the paperwork and approvals to help a deployed Team Vance member get back home after a delay for major surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas. Captain Veatch transported his teammate from the medical center to a waiting aircraft, sparing him the pain and discomfort of traveling commercially, and reuniting him with his family early.
