  • Published

Name:  Capt. Ian Veatch

Duty:  71st Operations Group Standardization and Evaluation

Hometown:  Seattle, Wash.

Favorite PT regimen:  Running

Mission accomplishments:  Captain Veatch assisted 19th Air Force with an Aircrew Standardization and Evaluation Visit at Laughlin AFB, Texas, by giving six instructor pilot checkrides in three days. He is the only T-6A Texan II flight examiner not from Randolph AFB, Texas, to assist the ASEV team during inspections.

He also inspected seven flying programs at Laughlin AFB, helping them prepare for a Unit Compliance Inspection.

Captain Veatch recently coordinated all the paperwork and approvals to help a deployed Team Vance member get back home after a delay for major surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas. Captain Veatch transported his teammate from the medical center to a waiting aircraft, sparing him the pain and discomfort of traveling commercially, and reuniting him with his family early.
