Christopher Buzzetta 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- New construction is underway near Vance's entrances and flight line operations area where foundation is being laid by Insignia Signs, Inc. Near the Baker west industrial gate along Elam Road will be two back-to-back signs, measuring 8 feet 8 inches high by 11 feet 10 inches wide. The same configuration is being constructed along Gott Road near the Hairston gate. Immediately outside of Base Operations, Bldg. 155 will be a one-sided 4 feet 10 inches high by 9 feet 11 inches wide display. The marquees have the ability to display 4.4 trillion colors with full motion video. "Emerging multimedia capabilities are changing the way we receive and deliver information," said 1st Lt. Agneta E. Murnan, 71st Flying Training Wing chief of Public Affairs. "The new marquees bring new and exciting upgraded communication capabilities to the base; the Public Affairs Multimedia office is currently putting together a new work flow for the marquee screen content." The project is scheduled to be complete in two to five weeks with a cost of $307,224 not including base support functions.
