The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program team is hosting a kickball tournament April 23 at 3 p.m. at the Vance softball fields.

The event, titled "Kick the Silence," is to help create awareness of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program in a fun, non-threatening environment. The program's victim advocates will be on hand to answer any questions anyone might have along with information tables.

The tournament consists of four teams, Rising 4, Focus 5/6, Company Grade Officer's Council, and base leadership. The point of contact for the leadership team is Chief Master Sgt. M. Kenui Balutski, 71 Flying Training Wing command chief.

Families are invited to cheer on the players. Children will have the opportunity to participate in a home plate dash between the games.

The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator serves as the single point of contact for integrating and coordinating sexual assault victim care from an initial report of sexual assault, through disposition and resolution of issues related to the victim's health and well-being.

The SARC is responsible for ensuring a victim support system that provides a 24 hour/7 day a week sexual assault response capability for all victims.

If you or someone you know has been sexually assaulted, please contact the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office at 580-213-5598 or after hours at 580-541-7095.
