Biggest Loser participants drop 417 pounds at March weigh in Published March 10, 2010 VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Participants in Vance's 2010 Biggest Loser weight-loss program weighed in at 417 pounds less March 5 than they did at the February weigh in. "We have only 350 pounds to go to hit the group's goal of 1,750 pounds lost," said Kellie Jensen, fitness program manager at Vance's Health and Wellness Center. The Biggest Loser program focuses on enforcing a healthy lifestyle, not just weight loss, said Ms. Jensen. "The program is a great opportunity for people looking to lose weight and live healthier," she said. The Warchicks are currently in first place by losing 23.4 pounds, 3.41 percent of their total body weight. The team members are Adrienne Schmedthorst, Sarah Markowski, Myra Hinote and Danielle Willis. In second place for losing 20 pounds, 2.94 percent of their body weight, is Never Give Up. The team members are Maria Ackeret, Peggy Ulmer, Amy Cummins and Tricia Shull. James and the Phat-Bottom Girls are in third place by losing 18 pounds, 2.71 percent of their body weight. The team members are Lori Byrne, Lindsay Spurlock, Stacy Smith and James Byrne. With a spotlight on healthy lifestyles, this year's Biggest Loser program will award T-shirts to winners of the extreme point system, in addition to prizes for teams with the highest percentage of weight lost. The final weigh in for the 2010 program will be April 9. The winners will be revealed during a ceremony at 4 p.m., April 14, in the Base Auditorium, Bldg. 550.
