H1N1 vaccinations available for non-active duty members Published Nov. 6, 2009 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs VANCE AIR FORCE BASE, OKLA. -- H1N1 vaccinations are scheduled to be provided by the Garfield County Health Department 8 a.m. to noon, Nov. 7, in the old Steven Barry's store at the Oakwood Mall, for the following groups: - Children who are 6 months to 18 years old (children 9 years and under are required to have two shots) - Women who are pregnant - Custodial parents of children who are less than 6 months old - Adults who are 19 to 64 years old with chronic health conditions - Health care workers in direct contact with patients This is a chance for non-active duty members to receive the H1N1 shot since they will have to receive the vaccination through off-base channels. Active duty members will be given the H1N1 vaccination at the base clinic when the 71st Medical Group gets their shipment. For more information, contact the Vance Immunization office at 213-7209.
