Seventy-three children from military families attended the event to learn about the deployment process their parents go through and to have some fun. Hangar 170 was turned into "Camp Liberty," the site for their mock deployment. At the camp, there were different stations the children could visit, such as a first-aid station, a weapons display, a rock wall, an obstacle course and more. Tech. Sgt. Bobbie White, 71st Force Support Squadron Airman & Family Readiness Center, was the coordinator for Operation KIDS. "I would like to thank all the volunteers who came out to help with the event," she said. Ninety-five volunteers from different on and off-base organizations were there: the Cimarron Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, Chick-fil-A, the Oklahoma Army National Guard, the Marine Anti-Tank Training Company from Broken Arrow, the Officer Spouses Group and a majority of the squadrons on base.
